Nothing like feeling like an ugly cow to want to make you change your life.

They call eachother fatass, fatso and other equally supportive things, and in the loving friendship that they have, Jenny and Ashley have decided to do their own version of "The Biggest Loser".

New Years Day. We're sitting at a pub on Younge Street *possibly one of the greatest streets in the world, if you ever get the chance to make it to Toronto, aside from Bloor, and Queen West of course* We're reliving the events of the previous night over diet coke, chicken fingers, fries, veggie something or other, fried mars bars and other not so healthy things like that.

Jenny and Ashley have decided to kick their asses in gear and have dedicated themselves to a number of New Years resolutions. One of them being to get in better shape. I appluad them for this, and their trials and insults are linked on the side entitled "the biggest loser".

Yrautca has decided to partake in this, and I have predicted that their motivated insults will lead to this years newest cult following. Go check it out and root for who you want to win. Their motivations are varied. Jenny has a gorgeous green summer dress that is her driving force...I cant remember Ash's. But I'm sure it's something exciting....Maybe they'll be kind enough to write a post about what their motivating factor is.

They're so intent on losing weight, that their attitudes are somewhat infectious. And dieting is always easier when you have someone to compete with.....

And I had a friend over tonight. He wanted to watch TV. I rarely watch tv....but he put on the new Bachelor, that one in paris....Someone I "was with" dated one of the girls on the new episodes....and I know that she makes it to the final three....so I wont ruin it for you if you watch, becuase I know how some people get about spoiling tv shows. *Ashley...*

But when I saw this girl, she was so cute and pretty, and adorable, that it made me feel like an ugly cow....And today, was the first day that I considered partaking in Jenny and Ashley *and now Yrautca's* Biggest loser competition.

*I'm cutting this blog short. I got the jist out, but i've got someone on the phone who's demanding my attention....boys...What are you gonna do?

My motivation is the wedding in June. I'm a bridesmaid and the bride is a size 0. I can't look like a fat cow up there beside her. As well the other bridesmaids are also very tiny people and i'd rather die than be jiggly up there.

Yes..but look at the bride. She's SO tiny....she might be the smallest person i've ever met...I dont think you need to lose weight at all, I think you're beautiful hunnie....

I feel like an ugly cow everyday. With or without seeing some skinny ho on the Bachelor.

That blog is the best thing that ever happened on blogistan. I love it.

My motivation is to get rid of the beer gut. I want all my trousers and jeans to become unusable to me. I know it will cost me if that ever happened but I would be happy.

I wonder though, if they have let me join the competition should they also not give me editorial rights? I have much to share and have a few good tips too in this journey.

Remember folks, the ultimate goal is high cheek bones ;)

Call me ignorant, but I didn’t know that there is a size 0 for women. I don’t know how the women’s sizes work. Please help me understand.

See for men all I need is a waist size and a collar size and I am set. For stuff like sportswear, Medium size works for me.

How do women’s sizes work? What dies size 0 mean. If you want to go out and buy a pair of pants, do you use a ‘size’ or waist? Does size apply to dresses only?

Yrautca - I think you should also have editorial rights. I agree, talk to jenny about it.

Size "0" is the size that makes normal people feel like fat cows.

Berly - You're not an ugly cow....Why would you think that?

yrautca said...

yeah the one pic of berly i saw was very nice.

I think I might be prepared to put up a pic of my gorgeous green summer dress. Ash, do you have a picture of your bridesmaid dress yet?
Also Ash, do you think we should give Yrautca editorial rights?

Jennifer as long as Yrautca has some good tips for us i'd agree to have him post :)
Perhaps we should have him send in a before picture first.
I do have the bridesmaid dress as well i can find a pic of it on the net if need be. I can post that

I have a motivational pair of jeans that I am bound and determined to get into.

I love that you guys are doing this together. My best friend Cathy and I usually diet together for support but it's so hard b/c she lives in another state.

PP...you had a GUY over? Sure he's just a friend?

Are you talking about that girl from Winnipeg? I don't know her but she's all over the papers here.

Linny - I DO have friends you know....LOL! You're so funny!!!

Good luck Princess, although I'm sure you don't need to get in better shape. Most women are too critical of themselves.

Nothing wrong with tough love when it comes to this kind of stuff. You just have to make sure you are doing it for the right reasons and that you have realistic goals.

And the important thing is to love yourself regardless while still trying to be the best you.

Damn I sound like a motivational speaker..I will now shut up.

Good luck with it if you decide to do it.

I had no idea that so many people were interested in losing weight. It sounds to me that at least some of you need to join up. But you actually have to have a worthwhile amount of weight to lose. Yrautca only had 15 pounds to lose, it was a stretch that we let him in.
I can't tell you how motivating it is to compete. I don't think I would have gone to the gym today, but I didn't want to tell everyone that I had not lost a single ounce, so I dragged my ass up there and made with the exercising.
