A Very Special Blogger Confessional©

This post its dedicated to LD, as we have had this conversation MANY times.

I know this post should be for the last 2 weeks, but lets be honest...I drank way too much this week, and cant remember that far back.....but I digress.

This week *as much of it as I remember* I:

- Picked up my new degree...its pretty. As pretty as the one they shredded, except this one, has to program names on it, not just one.

- Saw a car that looked exactly like the Starsky and Hutch mobile...it was the same car, painted the same way, and for the first time EVER, I wished I had a cam phone....

- Studied....i have my language final tomorrow....ive been going over verb conjugation in my head for the past 2 days....I still have a lot to do, but thats what today is for, and i have all day tomorrow, I think i'll do okay. I just have to get to the library and stop procrastinating.

- Had a friend over a couple of times, he's got so many episodes of Whose line is it anyway ripped off the net....we watched for HOURS....literally....my eyes were burning.

- Woke up at like 1:30 yesterday, after being out and about until almost 6am. Flipped on my computer, my friend was having a BBQ at her place with loads of her friends, I showered, hit the liquor store and was on my way. I hadnt even been up an hour and I was already drinking at a friends place....I LOVE summer. But I digress. Yesterday, I got to hang out with an entire group of friends, a group other than my own.

I know the dynamic that exists within my group, and we usually giggle about it, and wonder if all groups of friends are like ours. Well, today...my dearest LD, I have the answer. You know how there's that joke, that every group of friends has one person they dont really like, but are just nice to because they're part of the group? Well, EVERY PERSON in this group of friends, was that person. They all bitched about eachother, gossiped about eachother. When one would stand up, and go inside, they'd all roll their eyes, and complain.

All the friends brought their fiances, and very very small children. One of my friends friends, was pregnant....she told me the baby was moving, grabbed my hand and pressed it onto her stomach, and honestly, it grossed the shit out of me, and i pulled my hand away as fast as possible, stood up, and sat at the other side of the patio.

Now, there were a couple of older kids there, but not older than 9.....sticky dirty children, and they all knew my position on how I feel about kids relatively early in the night...but I of course, was nice to the kids, got things for them, talked to them blah blah blah. One of the bitchier girls says "you know, for someone who doesnt like kids, you're really nice to them"....I looked at her and told her the truth. "If you do nice things for them, its easier to manipulate them, and get them to do things for you"

As this girl had three of her own, she was horrified....but not as horrified as I was, when she felt that it was necessary to tell me that she had a boob job, and then flash her shit all over the place.

Hanging out with these strangers, and watching them interact with eachother, made me miss my friends that much more....I cant wait to get back to my group....where if you have something bitchy to say, you say it right to the person....your response is usually a hearty fuck you, and an eye roll....and then its forgotten. You know, at one point, we joked about how we were all still friends, only because we were too lazy to go out and find new ones. But yesterday, I realized, that compared to the group that I hung out with....my group genuinely cares about one another...and as much as we bitch, and joke about finding new friends...not only am I too lazy, I dont wanna....my friends are the best. :) AWWWW

I absolutely LOVE "Whose Line is it Anyway." It is one of my favorites.

Made you appreciate (even more) what you already have surrounding you in life.
That's sweet.

And pregnant should NEVER make someone feel their stomach. If they ask, maybe let them, but never force!!! Sick.

Feeling the stomach and showing off the goods? That sounds like quite the party. Definately in Windsor!

Linny - Oh my god, we were dying. The episode that had Richard Simmons on it...I was in tears, I couldnt breathe.

Berly - Yes it actually did. and I totally agree with you, it was like soft tummy, and then a hard object pushing against the inside of her stomach. It felt like aliens in there, it really grossed me out.

Scott - Ya...where else right?

I think most people by our age have a core group of friends, however meeting new people happens often as well. You could meet people by joining something that you enjoy, some type of sport or a book club. In Toronto i know they have groups for that type of thing, there is this whole website dedicated to various groups of like minded people. I'm sure they have an Italian speaking one.

I met the rugby boys through Moe, i've met gidge's new friends, Dawn met new people at work, i guess it just happens whether we want to meet new people or not LOL

Sounds like a slow week with regard to crazy guy situations. Are you slowing down or have the crazy guys caught on?

I am sure you had a blast. I myself would have given a foot and a tooth to be with that many chicks.

Miss Ash - Ya...i dont really care about meeting new people. I dont really like anyone else. You guys are good enough. LOL!!!

Yrautca - Uhh....it wasnt that many girls. It was about even. And NO, the crazy guys have NOT caught on...ive had to censor my blog this week...you should have seen what I wanted to write. But my family members read this blog, so i kept my mouth shut.

Sometimes I realize how much I miss good freinds. I just spent a weekend with four of my best high school buds. It was the most fun I've had in ages. It kinda sucks that we have all spread throughout the eastern seaboard.

Amichai - Im lucky, all of mine still live in close proximity to one another. I'm the only one thats moved more than an hour away....But now that i'm moving back next week, I'll see them all the time.

There is nothing better than a good group of friends. You'll hear about mine pretty soon on my blog. I think you are tempting fate by expressing your distaste of children so frequently and vehemently. BTW, I love Whose Line, I watch it every night. I watch because it's full of Canadians and you know how much I love you Canuck bastards.

Princess Pessimism said...

Trib - No doubt. LOL!!

Phil - Im lucky, my friends are awesome...Why am I tempting fate by expressing my dislike for children? Karma will come around and kick me in the ass, and i'll have 3 or something? LOL!!! Im 28 already, my childbearing time is almost over. Whose line is on everynight??? I didnt know that. I'll soon be your 1 hour away neighbor to the north again, maybe we'll get it on cable when im there.

I HATE it when people grab my hand and put it on their pregnant belly. Gross! And, I don't care. Well, I feel the same way you do about kids and it does make it difficult in some situations. Just be glad that these people are your only choice of peeps to hang out with...

I sometimes miss my friends in Argentina. The friendship dynamics are definitely different. And I knew them since I was about 6. I still keep in touch but it's not quite the same, is it? I think relationships change as we grow, priorities change, people move, interests diversify. SIGH... oh well.

I like this showing the tit business. I like to feel pregnant bellies myslef, its kinda cool!

Princess Pessimism said...

Sexy - Oh, I totally agree....if those were my only friends, I wonder what kind of person i'd be now....

Natalia - we've all gotten older, and our priorities have changed, but they've all changed together, and we've all been pretty consistent in phases of life. We're lucky.

Ben - LOL....of course you like the tit showing, they were very big, and very fake looking. She wanted to show me that you could barely see her scars
