Ugly news at night....

Its Midnight almost......

I was just woken up about an hour ago by a phone call saying that one of my friends commit suicide. I used to work with this person in Massachusetts, and still saw him when he came through this way. I hadnt seen him in about 4 months, but talked to him almost 4 times a week on messenger, or email.

The kicker? This was an older man that I worked with, maybe about my parents age...not older, but older than me. I knew, and worked with him and his wife, for a while, and kept in constant contact with them.....When Donnie commit suicide earlier this week, his son was so broken hearted, that he jumped out of the top window in his house, and commit suicide as well. I didnt know his son, but I cant even imagine what Lynn *wife and mom* is going through right now.....

I have indeed written about him before.

My heart goes out to these people. That is so very depressing/sad. I hope you are doing ok.

I think that whenever something like this happens you always wonder if there's something you could have said or done to prevent it, but there isn't. These things are generally a product of depression or factors that people never discuss.
The poor wife, I feel so bad for her.

Sorry to hear that you lost someone you knew and in such a violent way. Suicide is one of those mysteries. I guess one can never know unless you are in that person's shoes. I tend to think everything has some sort of solution and that death is not the right choice. But one cannot speak for others. It's sad to hear that his son followed him. My heart goes out to the wife and mother. She is going to need a lot of support.
