Blogger Confessional© All work and No play....blah blah blah

Ive never been so busy in my entire life. And as much as I had nothing to do, now, im that busy.....its insanity really....but, im not complaining.

This week I:

- Actually danced around with my neices when I found out school was cancelled because of the snow. School tomorrow and tuesday is cancelled, and i couldnt be happier. I was supposed to do a math presentation tomorrow...im ready for it, but i hate math. I know I have to do it eventually, but id like another bit to work on it.

- Cut these leaves off a tree outside. When I let go of the tree, there were 4 spiders on me. Three on one arm, one on the other.

- Watched the first ever horror movie awards, they were called the "scream awards". The devils rejects was voted best movie...i couldnt agree more. Hopefully this will sway those of you who have not seen it yet, to get out there and watch it. It was fantastic

- Had a bitchy thanksgiving with my family.....and I can always be meaner to the idiots in my family, but I was pretty bitchy.

- Applied for a new position at work, and got it. So, ive just increased my hours, which is why im so busy. If im not at school, im working, or doing homework. That has become my life....its good that i make so much, and have a lot to do...but it would be nice to not have so much routine.

- Reconsidered Florida. I am sure that I am not going, but I would like to go somewhere...I dont know what im going to do, but I only have about 3 days to decide.

- Was told about the new movie "Death of a President"....make sure you watch this preview. Unless you are an evil republican. This movie looks amazing.

Rawbean - Thanks...although, I am not sure yet if I have taken on too much. We'll see

Ya, I have heard about this movie. So its a good thing that you are so busy. Busy is good. Keeps one out of trouble. Did it snow where you live or where you go to school or both?

Ugh i would have died if 4 spiders landed on me. I picked up a tomato the other day and a silverfish was on it, i threw the tomato across the room EWE!!

Congrats on the job!! And enjoy the snow days.

Y - Nope, I go to school about 35 minutes from here. They got 3 feet, and it's gorgeous and sunny warm today here. No snow here. But since it is relatively unsafe to drive there, they cancelled school. Im not complaining.

Ash - EWWW...see, Silverfish? I cant handle that.....i dont know if I would have thrown it across the room, hahaha...but I definitely would have dropped it. Silver fish are nauseating.

Heard about the movie when it premiered at Tornto (the film festival), and was less than intregued. Apparently, though conceptually interesting it doesn't really say anything new about anything and is little more than a morbid wish fulfillment peice.

I am about the epitome of everything not republican (liberal jewish new-england intellectual) but I think I can wait 'till this one hits DVD; at least from the buzz I've read so far.

And good deal with the job. And I get you about the vacation.

Amichai - You know, I was thinking the exact same thing actually....about morbid wish fulfillment, and I couldnt agree more. And although they are not announcing anything new, I would still like to see it. Just to see what all the fuss is about.

You liked the Devils Rejects?

Eh...I've been nothing but completely dissapointed in the first couple films by Rob Zombie.

Steve - I LOVED the Devil's Rejects. Like I cant even stress to you enough how much I loved that movie. It was by FAR, amazing, and, although reminiscent of the original TCM, still right in its own good. I linked house of 1000 corpses more closely with the TCM. Rob zombie is writing the next halloween movie. I literally cant wait.

What did you NOT like about the Devils rejects? it was so disturbingly good.

just think that Rob is so damn inept. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't expect my cool ass horror flicks to be works of art or anything, but when you are making movies like this you completely ignore the building of tension...I don't know...I think the guy should go back to writing music.

As for him doing Halloween...ug...

I'm a huge fan of the series, and I suppose he can't screw it up any more than anyone else has...but still...ug... ;)

Insects give me the willies. I can't say I wouldn't have freaked if I had spiders on me.

Princess Pessimism said...

Steve - DR wasnt about tension....it was about that family trying to get away. It was a horror movie, but not a typical slasher flick. That was the brilliance behind it. It was an entirely different type of horror flick. The kind that had you rooting for the cops, and the bad guys. Thats why I liked it. It wasnt so one dimensional.

Linny - OHHH they're only spiders....they wont hurt you.

Three spiders, not cool at all.

Snow days... doesn't get much cooler than that.

Yaay for the job.

You should reconsider Florida. Ummm depending on when you are coming, you could stay at my place...and then you don't need to pay for a hotel :)

Scott - I know. I dont remember the last time I had one.

Natalia - LOL!!! you realize that there are like 12 people going. I thank you for the invitation, but would never subject you to the insanity of my family. (although, I am aware that you were not offering for all of us to stay there...lol)
