My Top 5

With my 29th birthday now behind me, and having gone to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, quasi-spontaneously, I was prompted to consider my top 5 favorite songs of all time. Its something me and LD discussed on the drive back, and it really made me think.

In no particular order:

Kate Bush - Running up that Hill
Pink Floyd - Wish you were Here
Peter Gabriel - Steam
Sade - By your Side
John Lennon - Instant Karma

So...come on. Tell me...I wanna know.

LOL...you and I have SUCH different tastes in music. I like none of these people and you would totally roll over laughing at my picks.

I never could imagine you having Sade in your top-5 list, or Mr Lennon for that matter. What, no Marilyn Manson?

Y - Nope. He's in my top 10. :o)

My top five are always changing, depending on what music I'm into at that particular moment. I can do top fave tv shows (and even episodes) top five movies (broken down by genre if you want), top five favorite novels, top five comic books (series or individual issues), top five video games (over all or broken down by gaming systems; dear lord I'm a geek); but for some reason I have a really hard time with music.

I know there would be a THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS song, possibly two, probably a DRESDEN DOLLS song, maybe a SAVE FERRIS, NOFX, or DECEMBERISTS (as I have been falling in love with the Decemberists lately) song. MONICA SEX would probably have a song in there, and maybe the third movement of Vivaldi's Summer. But if I were to answer this next week, the only thing that would probably stay the same is THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS (they are my favorite band of all time).

This is a tough one, but these songs always put a smile on my face.

Depeche Mode: Never let me down again

NIN: Hurt

David Bowie: Fashion or Fame i can't possibly choose between the two songs.

A new fav that i just discovered is Imogen Heap: Useless

She has a very powerful voice.

By Your Side? Hmmm, don't know that one. I've always loved No Ordinary Love.

I sure can't pick my top 5 songs. I'm sure something of Joe's is in there... I'm always amazed at some of the stuff he comes up with.

Hernesto - Im good...things have been busy. But i've been waiting for you to come back you know. LOL...So the beatles arent up there....J.Lennon is. Thats good enough. Besides, there are so many good beatles songs, its not fair to pick just one.

Bleph - You should listen to it, By Your Side is a fantastic song.

Hernesto, how can you disagree with someone else's top 5 favrouite songs. Are you disagreeing that they are her favourites? Because, I think we just have to take her word for it that she like's those songs.
