Stupid viruses

So now that ive started blogging again, I have taken it upon myself to start carrying my camera EVERYWHERE to document the ridiculousness that accompanies my life on a daily basis. Unfortunately, last night, I attempted to find the 90210 season finale online, and got a MASSIVE virus that has disabled my antivirus software, and completely blocked me from getting online.

Who knew that 90210 was so damaging.....But in doing so, I am unable to blog about what I REALLY wanted to blog about. I'll have to leave it until next week im afraid....which means, that Miss A ALSO wont be able to blog about something that she wanted to...becuase I was supposed to send her the pictures.

So to the person who has given me a virus...and has only allowed me to email, blog, and FB from work - I hate you. Jerk.....spend your time doing something more productive than attacking the computers of those who want to watch 90210.

That is all.

i was on christielli's blog and noticed your post on her blogroll. was just wondering if you got the virus situation squared away? if not and you're looking for solutions, are you using windows or mac?

hopefully everything got fixed up already.

Jason - Thanks for your concern :) No, I havent figured it out yet. Im supposed to be taking it to someone to fix this weekend, but I havent heard from him as of yet. I have a PC...but its been a complete nightmare. I feel so out of touch with the world. LOL!

Did you ever get your computer fixed? If not, what version Windows and AV software are you using? Does the AV not even start up when you boot?

As a first step to see if your internet connection is ok, hit the Start/Windows button on the taskbar and select Run. Then you'll want to type in (no quotes) 'cmd' and a command prompt will pop up. Type in 'ping www.google.com'. If you get a reply like this:

64 bytes from 66.249.91.104: icmp_seq=0 ttl=52 time=47.974 ms

your connection is ok and technically your browser should work.

Then I'd go through the Add/Remove Software under the Control Panel and uninstall anything you don't need. See if you can use Google to find out the applications you're unsure of.

If you run into some problem there are other things you can try.

Oh and btw, I got around to listening to some How to Destroy Angels after reading your prior post and I thought it was pretty good. It's been awhile since I've even thought about Trent. I thought PHM, Broken, and Downward were great, with Broken being my fav.

Ok. I'm in suspense now of your blogs.
And yes, 90210 has always been damaging, in one way or another. ;)
