A change for the better

I've been having a good week. Like REALLY good week *of course meaning week beginning monday, as someone once taught me, it is best to start things on mondays*

So far this week, I:

- Did a lot of readings to catch up for my exams
- Convinced myself that I will not learn through osmosis *although i'm sure the theory still has some merit*
- finished a paper that I was avoiding becuase I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it was, and it only ended up taking me about 5 hours to completely finish and type.
- Confronted my noisy neighbors who keep me up until 5am daily playing poker all night long. After I talked to them last night, I didnt hear one noise out of their apartment, and I think i've made some headway *but that remains to be seen*
- met TWO new guys, and managed to get myself TWO dates. *one of the guys I just met yesterday in class, but as we left class, he said he didnt want to leave becuase I was so interesting to listen to, that he walked me all the way home.*
- Asked my mom for a pair of mittens for Christmas that MATCH my scarf, instead of getting a new one.
- I think I made a decision about giong back to the States. It's tempting, but I left to come back to school, and upgrade myself. That was something I wanted. I think i'm staying here, and turning the job down *I can still go back and work for the summer months, I just wont have the promotion.*
- Watched the most AMAZING movie Crash. It just came out recently, and is about racism. It's fantastic if you havent seen it....
- Also watched Million Dollar Baby, and regardless of what everyone said, Yes....it was a Good movie....but NO. I did NOT cry. LOL

It's snowing today. I LOVE the first real snowfall of the year. The earth is changing, and you can smell it in the air. *by FAR, my most favorite smell...the changing of the seasons.*

And snow reminds me of Crhistmas break...where my most favorite place to be in the entire world is beside a toasty REAL fire *not a gas fireplace* with a good book and a huge mug of hot chocolate and baileys....mmmmmm.

Linny - I've been completely FREE of all men for 3 WHOLE weeks. It's about time that I move on dont you think??

Yrautca - Ahhh....that sounds nice. Scarfs-R-Us eh? Do you think they sell mittens there? No noisy neighbors??? Fireplace??? Good movies??????

Get me the Hot chocolate and booze, and i'm on my way.

okay, before Yrautca will try to steal you I have to let you know that I have this great tree, with a bit of effort it can be chopped down - we can stuff some branches into the trash can and that will make a nice fire place... also, the new catalog - victoria secret or maybe something more sophisticated like Sears that you can read next to our trash can fire. Alcohol and chocolates, well there is always Boones, Alizee, and there is this strawberry/peach shnapps that we can use to warm up. Chocolate, well there is enough free stuff that we can scrap up. So, what do you say? Ingenious, cheap and romantic... What else do single ladies need?

Santa letters said...

Well done on a nice blog Princess Pessimism. I was searching for information on Santa letters and came across your post A change for the better - not quite what I was looking for related to Santa letters but very nice all the same!

We're all getting ready for Christmas and I've just put the finishing touches to my new site specially for kids, or rather their parents and relatives. You can go there and get Santa to send a really nice personalized letter to a youngster. It's great fun! If you have a moment, perhaps you'd enjoy taking a look: Letter from Santa .

Well, a merry Christmas to you and yours!

Hernesto rides again...

Oh, man... Yrautca to be "ha ha ha" funny is like being second class citizen. I am sorry you got downgraded, but I am sure you have other nice qualities too.

Princess Pessimism said...

Hernesto - I'll have you know that "funny Ha Ha" is not a downgrade. It is the equivalent to shockingly funny, but in a more polite way.

You're equally lovely....
