UFO Breakfast Specials.

Ohhh the things i'll be moving back to in Niagara.

Maybe many of you, or maybe none have you, have been to Niagara Falls. However, if you HAVE indeed gone, chances are, you missed this. Its off the strip, and if you dont know its there, you never would.

This is the BEST after drinking restaurant in Niagara Falls. Not to mention that it's open until like 4am. Its obviously called "The Flying Saucer", or, "The Saucer"...to the locals. And Yes, its obviously a restaurant that resembles a UFO, outside and inside. Its a fun atmostphere, and their menus are like newspapers with trivia, and articles about UFO's...that sort of thing. Find thier half assed website Here

Oh...and by the way. When I was looking for a picture of this restaurant to post on this blog, i came across an ebay autcion, where someone had stolen one of their menus, and Sold it. Girls, think of how many times we have been there...i am surprised that no one has thought of this before. I guess its true. You really can sell anything on Ebay....but I digress.

For those of you intrigued by this place, and have decided to make the trip to Niagara Falls just to say that you've been *because they sell post cards too...I bought one and mailed it to my friend who lived in toronto*....Allow me to interject a few KEY RULES when eating at this establishment.

THE RULES:

1. NEVER order past the first page...unless its chicken fingers, or something thats a safe SAFE bet. the first page of the menu has all the basic appetizers, and salad, and random things...that you know, they really arent touching with their hands, and are already premade. I have personally witnessed an experience where someone I went with dared to order lasagna....What a nightmare that was.

2. If the cooks happen to come out from behind the kitchen, try not to look at them...it makes eating there so much harder....Trust me on this.

3. Bathrooms are down a steep staricase, and are creepy as ALL hell. The one and only time I went down there, i was in there by myself, and when I came out, all the paper towels, and the roll sitting on top of them were knocked from the back of the counter, to the floor. It scared the shit out of me, I washed my hands, and took off....I wont go back down there by myself.

4. If you are planning on going for dinner, just for fun, at maybe like 6 or so....be prepared...it will be JAMMED. Like line up out the door, and at least an hour wait. So if you wanna go, make sure its either early or late.

I think thats about it, but if I have missed one of the rules, please leave it in the comment section..i'll update.

And if anyone wants a post card...let me know. I'll be there before vegas. LOL!

I went to that restaurant while experiencing a terrible May long weekend hangover back when I was 18 or so. Their greasy breakfast fixed me right up.

Cheers,

Scott

Oh my, I haven't been to Niagara Falls since I was a kid. I was just thinking that I should take Hubby there because he's never been. Sounds like fun!

Ohhhhh. that looks like such a cool place. I totally want to visit there.

Princess- Which side of the Falls will you be on? The good side, or the Canadian side? Maybe I'll see you at the Flying Saucer sometime.

Princess Pessimism said...

Berly - NO. Never...if you see whos cooking back there, you'll wont want to eat. I promise.

S.Subs - Never been to Niagara?? That always makes me question why. Why did he never go? Too far??? I guess, I like to travel all over the continent. So its odd to me when I hear that someone who lives within driving distance, has never been.

Linny - I'll mail you a post card?? LOL!!! Theres a huge stuffed alien standing at the doorway.

Phil - OHHHHH....BOOO. Okay..thats okay. You sit over there and say whatever you want...LOL! We get like a billion tourists a year...How many does Niagara Falls NY get?? NONE...cause it sucks. LOL!! Cant be that bad, if that many people want to visit...ha ha

You forgot about the 99 cent breakfast. You can get two eggs, two pieces of toast, and homefries for the low low price of 99 cents :)

Jay and i went after the bar once to the takeout side where it is possible to see the cook. We both looked at him, looked at each other and left before ordering LOL.

I've never been to Niagra Falls...does that make me weird? That restaurant sounds like a real greasy spoon! I shudder as I picture the cooks!

I'm so jealous of your trip to vegas - it will be awesome!

Miss Ash - I have never eaten that breakfast special before...but the original title of this post was "UFO 99 cent breakfast special" I didnt know what the special entailed, so I changed it.

Yrautca - You digress do you? Seems to be a popular hobby around here.

Rawbean - OHH you have to go to Niagara falls...theres so much to do, if you're a tourist.

The only time I ever remember going to the bathroom there (and really, it's true, it's a miracle if lives have not been lost on those stairs), there were two girls down there bemoaning the loss of 50$ that one of the girls had stuffed somewhere in her very brief and pocketless outfit.
I also left as quickly as possible.

I'll have to check it out next time i go to the falls.

Trib said...

I've never been to the falls but it's certainly on my list. Along with space food now.

Princess Pessimism said...

Jennifer - LOL!!! Well, those girls dont surprise me one bit...idiots. If you dont have pockets, you designate someone "the boyfriend" to hold all the stuff.

Ben - Ohh..youd love it..so fun

Trib - Make sure you do...its totally cliche, but so much fun

Hubby is from Alabama so it wasn't really driving distance for his family. Plus, Hubby's family spent every single vacation during his entire youth at Disney World (gee, I wonder how he ended up here in Orlando). We are working on the whole travelling thing now (hence the upcoming trip to Paris). Until we went to Vancouver last year I had a hard time convincing Hubby that Canada was a cool place (he wasn't that impressed with Windsor when I took him there -- he kept asking where all the Mounties, totem pole and snow were at). But, now that he's gotten a little more acquainted with your country he's been eager to go back and check out other places -- like Toronto and the Rockies. Perhaps we'll do Niagra soon.

I've never been to Niagara, and never really wanted to, but now...I'm sort of intrigued.

Princess Pessimism said...

Fat Pnats - Ya..i suppose if you dont live there, and see it at least a hundred times a year, it is something to see. LOL

Dinah - OHHH there are SO many more fun things to do there than the actual falls. You should totally go...but ask the locals whats the best things to do...

Josh said...

Let me see. Gold nugget Texas shaped rings for the guys. Maybe some red white and blue TX ear rings for the ladies. Necklaces too.
