Canadian Patriotism at its Finest.

And Who says we arent patriotic??? This picture HARDLY does this house justice. See the window on the side? It's got the Canadian flag painted on both sides of it, the theme wraps all the way around the entire house, and apparently, the inside of the house...is worse. If you can even BEGIN to imagine what that might look like.

I wonder what this house looks like at Christmas time....ugly lights everywhere I imagine. Which reminds me....I think that christmas lights are ugly, not all of them, but those "Griswald" type houses....and SO funny that we crying laughing. There's this street in St. Catharines, the entire street gets in on the decorating, and when you move in, you have to sign a contract that says you'll participate, cause if you dont, they decorate your house for you. It's hideous....to say the least.....

5 years ago, me and Miss Ash drove around a couple of cities making "A Christmas Lightmare" that was us videotaping ugly lights, and all you can hear is us laughing in the background. I havent been home the month of december for a few years, as I have been living in other cities, and only home for Christmas itself. Maybe since i'm home this year, we should go make another video....and you'll all have something to look forward to in december....besides presents...

I clicked on the picture, to enlarge it....and noticed that there are two very small Yank flags on that house too....wonder what that's all about.

That frightens me. I mean it really frightens me. I don't know who would chose to live there, let alone what sort of people feel the need (the obligation) to decorate some one elses house so it matches the neighborhood. I just don't understand that at all.

We can definately make another video. We'll have to figure out a way to post at least one small clip on this site. I suppose we have all summer to figure that out.

Amichai - You have NO idea, its insane...there are moving bits, singing reindeer, lights...so many lights....

Miss Ash - I took this picture and thought of you immediately. Remember those pictures I sent you from MA, about that house with all the crap? Jennifer says that we can make a video on the digital, post it on "yourtube" or something like that, and then post the video clip here. Im looking forward to it.

Scott - Oh god....LOL! I'm sorry I didnt see that at halloween. I was just on Erie street recently, and found this house.....i almost died laughing.

That house is absolutely disgusting, there such a thing as being a little too patriotic. Does the house sing and whistle on Canada Day? I totally remember going with you guys on one of the Christmas Lightmare excursions...good times.

I just had a physical reaction to that picture.
Why?
Why I ask you?

Yea that house is hideous. What were those people thinking? I bet they play hockey and have mullets and a 24 or Molson in their fridge at all times. They probably have a push lawnmower too.

Trib said...

Yes, but I climbed back up and read all the posts I missed. Push lawnmowers! Ha!

My street is totally like that at Christmas. EVERYONE covers their whole house in lights. We have a little house so we just put up a few, but most people on my street go all out. It's kind of wierd because none of the other streets in my subdivision do that -- just ours. I had no idea when I bought the place that it was like that. Still, my neighbors are nice.

Dawn - There was no music that I heard, but you never know....its canada day soon, i'll go over there and check it out just to see. LOL!!

Berly - LOL!!!! I felt the same way.

Rawbean - Wouldnt surprise me. Ive never seen them, but you're probably right, they probably have mullets.

Trib - You went back and read them all??? You're so dedicated.

S.Subs - Ahhh...Bounjour!!! LOL. You should also take pictures of your house, and post them at christmas time....

They seem a bit crazy don't they.

This is a comment in hopes that you can help my friend Fuzz with his problem. We are holding an intervention for him and any help would be tremendous. I hope with the help of friends we can get him the treatment he needs.

Linny - I read that....thanks.

Crazy Dan - Interventions are good...especially if they are mandatory.

I hate patriotism, the last time I went on a trip, my mom suggested that I put a Canadian flag on my backpack. I said why? She said that she was concerned that people would think I was American (no offence). I said, if I don't put a flag on my pack then people might be unsure whether I was American or Canadian, but if I had a flag on my pack then they'd know for sure that I was a flag waving asshole!

I don't understand what's wrong with push mowers, they're great, they cut the lawn, leave the clippings on the grass, and they don't burn gas. If I had a lawn, I'd have a push mower.
